Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Deburp is a fixed-dose combination capsule containing activated charcoal (250 mg) and simethicone (80 mg), developed by Amdis Healthsciences. It is indicated for the treatment of symptoms associated with excess intestinal gas, including flatulence, bloating, abdominal discomfort, belching, hiccups, and post-operative gaseous distention. Simethicone acts as an antiflatulent by reducing the surface tension of gas bubbles, facilitating their coalescence and expulsion. Activated charcoal acts as an adsorbent, binding gas molecules and reducing the overall volume of intestinal gas.
