Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ACU301 is a preclinical-stage bispecific antibody being developed by Acumen Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. It is part of Acumen's Enhanced Brain Delivery (EBD) program and is designed to target soluble amyloid-beta oligomers (AβOs) while utilizing JCR Pharmaceuticals' proprietary J-Brain Cargo blood-brain barrier (BBB)-penetrating technology. By targeting the transferrin receptor (TfR), ACU301 achieves significantly enhanced brain penetration compared to native antibodies. ACU301 is derived from sabirnetug (ACU193), Acumen's clinical-stage AβO-selective antibody. The candidate is administered subcutaneously and is undergoing IND-enabling activities, with an IND submission planned for mid-2027.
