ACU3B3 is a murine immunoglobulin G1 (IgG1) monoclonal antibody developed by Acumen Pharmaceuticals. It serves as the parent antibody for ACU193, a humanized therapeutic candidate currently in clinical development for Alzheimer's disease. ACU3B3 specifically targets soluble amyloid beta oligomers (AβOs), which are considered toxic species that accumulate early in the progression of Alzheimer's disease and contribute to synaptic dysfunction. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that ACU3B3 can prevent AβO-induced inhibition of long-term potentiation (LTP) and has shown efficacy in multiple amyloid precursor protein (APP) transgenic mouse models (such as hAPP/SL and hAPP/J20) across various behavioral assessments.
