Acupoint application (Guang'anmen Hospital) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) therapeutic intervention developed by Guang'anmen Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. It involves the topical application of a specific herbal formulation to acupuncture points to treat joint pain in patients with knee osteoarthritis, particularly those with cold-dampness obstruction syndrome. The treatment is designed to provide analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects through the transdermal absorption of herbal active ingredients at targeted sites.
