Acyline + testosterone enanthate is an experimental combination therapy investigated primarily for male hormonal contraception. Acyline is a potent gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonist that suppresses the secretion of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), leading to decreased endogenous testosterone production and inhibition of spermatogenesis[8][9]. Testosterone enanthate is a long-acting esterified form of testosterone, administered by injection, which acts as an agonist at the androgen receptor to maintain physiological androgen levels during suppression of endogenous production[5][6]. The combination aims to achieve effective suppression of sperm production while maintaining secondary sexual characteristics and minimizing side effects associated with low androgen levels. This regimen has been studied in small clinical trials for its potential as a reversible male contraceptive[4][9].
