AD-2112 is a small molecule drug candidate developed for the treatment of pain. Its mechanism of action is as an agonist of the mu-opioid receptor (OPRM), which is a well-established target for analgesic therapies. The drug does not represent a novel mechanism in pain management and, as of now, has not received regulatory approval in any country. Clinical development has included at least one completed Phase 1 trial involving healthy volunteers and subjects with unspecified pain. No known adverse events have been reported to date[1].
