Overview

AD-303 (also known as HUTERA D) is a topical lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulation of the 5-alpha reductase inhibitor dutasteride, being developed for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia (male pattern hair loss). Developed by Moogene Medi in collaboration with Addpharma, Yuhan, JW Shinyak, Medica Korea, and Chong Kun Dang, AD-303 utilizes Moogene Medi's proprietary LNP drug delivery system to effectively deliver dutasteride directly to hair follicles and scalp tissues. This localized delivery is designed to selectively lower dihydrotestosterone (DHT) levels in the scalp while minimizing systemic exposure and the associated side effects of oral dutasteride, such as sexual dysfunction and liver toxicity. The candidate is currently in Phase 1/2a clinical development in South Korea.
