Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ad Cure is an over-the-counter (OTC) topical skincare product developed by Laboratoires SMB, primarily used as a skin protectant and repair ointment. It is specifically formulated as a 'pâte à l'eau' (water-based paste) containing zinc oxide, vitamin A (retinol), and vitamin D (cholecalciferol). Ad Cure is indicated for the treatment and prevention of skin irritations, most notably diaper rash (erythème fessier) in infants, as well as superficial wounds and erythema. The zinc oxide component provides a physical barrier against moisture and irritants while exerting mild astringent properties. Vitamins A and D are included to support epithelial cell differentiation and promote the restoration of the skin barrier. Additionally, Laboratoires SMB markets Ad Cure as a complementary skincare product for patients undergoing drying dermatological treatments, such as isotretinoin therapy.
