Ad-Foxj2 is a recombinant adenoviral vector engineered to deliver and overexpress the Forkhead box J2 (Foxj2) transcription factor. Foxj2 is a member of the forkhead/hepatocyte nuclear factor 3 family, which plays a critical role in various biological processes, including the regulation of the innate immune response and cellular homeostasis. Preclinical research indicates that Ad-Foxj2 can attenuate lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced inflammatory responses in macrophages, suggesting a potential therapeutic role in managing inflammatory diseases. By increasing Foxj2 levels, the vector modulates downstream signaling pathways that govern cytokine production and macrophage activation, thereby dampening excessive inflammatory signaling.
