Overview

AD-Linco is a veterinary antibiotic feed additive developed and marketed by ADBiotech. It is formulated as a powder containing lincomycin, a lincosamide antibiotic. Lincomycin exerts its antibacterial effect by binding to the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, which inhibits protein synthesis by blocking the peptidyl transferase reaction. AD-Linco is primarily indicated for use in livestock and fisheries to treat and prevent various bacterial infections, including swine dysentery caused by *Brachyspira hyodysenteriae* and necrotic enteritis in poultry.
