Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ad-mFlt3L is an adenoviral vector-based gene therapy designed to deliver and express murine FMS-like tyrosine kinase 3 ligand (Flt3L). Flt3L is a cytokine that stimulates the proliferation and differentiation of dendritic cells (DCs) and their migration to tumor sites, enhancing anti-tumor immunity. After administration, Ad-mFlt3L induces local Flt3L production, recruiting and expanding dendritic cells in the tumor microenvironment, thereby increasing antigen presentation and promoting the activation of tumor-specific immune responses. This modality is being investigated mainly for cancer indications, including glioblastoma, as part of immune-stimulatory gene therapy approaches.[10][11]
