Overview

AD-MSC-CM is a preclinical-stage cell-free therapy candidate developed by SUMMA Bio-Solutions for the treatment of various pulmonary and respiratory conditions, including Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), Acute Lung Injury (ALI), Asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), and Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). The product consists of a conditioned medium derived from proprietary immortalized mesenchymal stem cells (IMSCs) sourced from adipose tissue. These cells are activated using the company's patented AdiLight-2 photo-activation device to enhance the secretion of a complex mixture of paracrine factors, including cytokines, growth factors, and other bioactive molecules. The therapeutic approach leverages the immunomodulatory and regenerative properties of these secreted bioactive molecules to reduce lung inflammation and promote tissue repair. The drug is also being explored for veterinary applications under the FDA Investigational New Animal Drug (INAD) framework.
