Ad-RTS-hIL-12 is an investigational gene therapy that uses an inducible adenoviral vector to deliver the human pro-inflammatory cytokine interleukin-12 (IL-12). The expression of IL-12 is controlled by the RheoSwitch Therapeutic System, which allows for regulated, local production of IL-12 in the presence of an oral activator ligand, veledimex. This approach aims to stimulate anti-tumor immune responses while minimizing systemic toxicity. Ad-RTS-hIL-12 has been studied primarily for its immunomodulating and antineoplastic activities in patients with recurrent or progressive glioblastoma and other cancers[1][2][3][4][5][6].
