Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ad.E7 is an adenoviral-based cancer vaccine designed to elicit a targeted immune response against the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) E7 oncoprotein. The vaccine utilizes a replication-deficient adenoviral vector to deliver the E7 gene into host cells, where the protein is expressed and presented to the immune system. This process induces the expansion of functionally active, E7-specific CD8+ T cells that infiltrate tumors and exhibit cytotoxic activity against cells expressing the viral antigen. Preclinical research has demonstrated its potential in controlling local tumor growth and improving survival in models of HPV-associated malignancies, including esophageal cancer.
