AD01

AD01 is a synthetic peptide drug developed as a therapeutic agent with two distinct investigational profiles in the literature. The most widely referenced form is a 24-amino acid peptide derived from FKBPL (FK506-binding protein like), which exhibits potent anti-angiogenic activity by binding to the CD44 receptor and inhibiting tumor cell migration in a CD44-dependent manner. This version of AD01 has demonstrated significant anti-tumor effects in preclinical models and is being explored for its potential use in oncology[1]. Separately, another investigational form called "Affitope AD01" is described as a short (7 amino acid) synthetic peptide vaccine candidate developed for immunization against Alzheimer's disease[2].
