AD098 is an investigational **fixed-dose oral combination of atomoxetine and oxybutynin** developed by Apnimed for obstructive sleep apnoea. It was evaluated as a single bedtime dose containing atomoxetine 60 mg plus oxybutynin 5 mg in a completed crossover study in adults with moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnoea. Atomoxetine inhibits norepinephrine reuptake to augment noradrenergic drive to upper-airway dilator motor neurons, while oxybutynin provides antimuscarinic activity that counteracts sleep-related muscarinic suppression of upper-airway muscle tone.
