AD113

AD113 is an investigational oral fixed-dose combination of **atomoxetine** and **spironolactone** developed by Apnimed for obstructive sleep apnea in patients with hypertension. Atomoxetine inhibits the norepinephrine transporter to increase noradrenergic signaling that may enhance upper-airway dilator muscle activity during sleep, while spironolactone antagonizes the mineralocorticoid receptor and may reduce fluid retention and rostral fluid shifts that can worsen upper-airway obstruction. A completed Phase 2 crossover study evaluated AD113 against atomoxetine in adults with moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea and controlled hypertension.
