Overview

Ad35.RSV.FA2 is an investigational vaccine candidate for the prevention of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection. It is a recombinant, replication-incompetent human adenovirus serotype 35 vector encoding the RSV F protein from the A2 strain. The vaccine is designed to induce immune responses against RSV by expressing the F protein antigen in host cells following intramuscular administration. Ad35.RSV.FA2 has been evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials as both a standalone and as part of prime-boost regimens with Ad26.RSV.FA2, another adenoviral vector-based RSV vaccine candidate. The primary indication under investigation is prevention of RSV infection in healthy adults[4][5][6]. Crucell Holland B.V., a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson (Janssen), developed this candidate.
