Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ad4-Env145NFL is an investigational HIV vaccine that uses a live adenovirus vector (Ad4) to deliver HIV envelope proteins. It is administered intranasally as a liquid spray and is designed to stimulate an immune response against HIV. The vaccine contains genetically modified adenovirus that produces pieces of protein from the HIV virus, specifically the Env145NFL protein. As the virus reproduces, it may cause an immune response to both adenovirus and to HIV proteins. This vaccine is being studied in combination with other HIV vaccines in heterologous prime-boost regimens.
