Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ad4-Env150KN is an experimental HIV vaccine that uses a replication-competent adenovirus serotype 4 (Ad4) vector to deliver HIV envelope proteins. It is administered intranasally as a liquid spray and is designed to elicit immune responses against HIV. The vaccine contains a live adenovirus that has been genetically modified to produce pieces of protein from the HIV virus. As the virus reproduces, it may cause an immune response to both adenovirus and to HIV proteins. This experimental vaccine is being studied as part of a prime-boost vaccination strategy for HIV prevention.
