Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ad4-Luc is a recombinant, replication-competent adenovirus serotype 4 (Ad4) vector engineered to express the firefly luciferase reporter gene. Developed by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), it is utilized as a research tool and imaging agent to evaluate the in vivo kinetics, biodistribution, and transgene expression patterns of the Ad4 mucosal vaccine platform in animal models. Following administration via various routes (such as intranasal, intramuscular, or intravaginal), luciferase expression can be tracked and quantified in real-time using an in vivo imaging system (IVIS) upon the administration of luciferin.
