Overview

Ad5-S is a viral vectored vaccine developed by iosBio (formerly Stabilitech Biopharma) and licensed by ImmunityBio. It utilizes an adenovirus 5 vector to deliver DNA encoding the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2. The vaccine is designed for oral delivery, leveraging iosBio's OraPro platform, and incorporates their thermo-stabilization (THERM-SB) technology. Its primary aim is to induce an immune response against the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein to provide protection against SARS-CoV-2 and successor coronaviruses.
