Overview

ADA-011 + PD(L)-1 inhibitor is a combination therapy consisting of ADA-011 and a programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) or programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) inhibitor. ADA-011 is likely an investigational agent (based on code name only; insufficient public information). PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors are monoclonal antibodies designed to block the interaction between PD-1 (expressed on T cells) and its ligands PD-L1/PD-L2, thus enhancing T cell–mediated anti-tumor immunity. The combination approach aims to synergistically enhance antitumor immune responses, based on evidence that dual checkpoint inhibition can increase efficacy compared to monotherapy, but may also increase risk of treatment-emergent antidrug antibodies and immune-related adverse events[1][2][5].
