Overview

Adabepilimab is a humanized monoclonal antibody designed to act as an immune checkpoint inhibitor by targeting the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor. Developed by Hansoh Pharmaceutical, it is intended to restore T-cell mediated anti-tumor activity by blocking the interaction between PD-1 and its ligands, PD-L1 and PD-L2. Adabepilimab is currently being evaluated in late-stage clinical trials, particularly in combination with other oncology agents such as the B7-H3-targeting antibody-drug conjugate HS-20093. Its primary development focus is on advanced solid tumors, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and small cell lung cancer (SCLC), where it is being tested as part of combination regimens to improve outcomes in patients who have progressed on prior therapies.
