Adagloxad simolenin is an investigational, carbohydrate-based cancer immunotherapy developed as a therapeutic cancer vaccine. It consists of the synthetic tumor-associated carbohydrate antigen Globo H covalently linked to keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH), a carrier protein, and is administered with the adjuvant OBI‑821. The vaccine is designed to stimulate both humoral and cellular immune responses against tumors expressing the Globo H antigen, which is found on the surface of various cancer cells. By inducing anti–Globo H antibodies (IgG and IgM), adagloxad simolenin aims to enhance immune recognition and destruction of these tumor cells. Its primary indication has been in breast cancer, particularly triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), but it has also been studied in ovarian, fallopian tube, peritoneal cancers, neuroblastoma, prostate cancer (discontinued), and non-small cell lung cancer[3][5][6][7][9].
