Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Adagloxad simolenin (OBI‑822) combined with OBI‑821 is a therapeutic cancer vaccine designed as an active immunotherapy targeting the tumor-associated carbohydrate antigen (TACA) known as Globo H. Adagloxad simolenin consists of the Globo H antigen covalently linked to keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH), which acts as a carrier protein to enhance immune response. OBI‑821 is a saponin-based adjuvant, structurally similar to QS‑21, that boosts the immunogenicity of the vaccine. The combination aims to stimulate both humoral and cellular immune responses against tumors expressing Globo H, including triple-negative breast cancer and other solid tumors. The therapy is being developed primarily by OBI Pharma in collaboration with Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center[1][2][3][5][7].
