Overview

Adalimumab-680LT is a fluorescently labeled formulation of the monoclonal antibody adalimumab, developed for research and clinical imaging purposes. It consists of the anti-TNF-alpha IgG1 monoclonal antibody (adalimumab) conjugated to a near-infrared dye (IRDye 680LT), enabling visualization and quantification of drug distribution in tissues using fluorescence molecular imaging techniques. The primary use case is to assess local drug concentrations and target engagement in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, with the goal of predicting therapeutic response and optimizing treatment strategies. Adalimumab itself acts by binding to tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-alpha), inhibiting its interaction with TNF receptors, thereby reducing inflammation[3][4][5][7].
