Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Adalimumab-aaty is a biosimilar of adalimumab, marketed under the brand name Yuflyma. It is a fully human IgG1 monoclonal antibody that acts as a tumor necrosis factor (TNF) blocker. By binding specifically to TNF-alpha, it neutralizes its bioactivity and prevents interaction with cell surface TNF receptors, thereby reducing inflammation and immune activity. Adalimumab-aaty is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis (in children 2 years and older), psoriatic arthritis, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, chronic plaque psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, and non-infectious intermediate/posterior/panuveitis[1][3][5]. It may be used alone or in combination with other medications such as methotrexate.
