Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Adalimumab-based Zybody refers to a class of bispecific therapeutic antibodies developed by Zyngenia Inc. that are based on adalimumab. A prominent example is a bi-specific antibody designed to simultaneously target tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNFα) and angiopoietin-2 (Ang2). This therapeutic aims to enhance efficacy in inflammatory diseases beyond what adalimumab alone can achieve, by addressing multiple components of the inflammatory pathway. Preclinical studies have shown enhanced efficacy over adalimumab in models of colitis and autoimmune polyarthritis. The technology involves genetically fusing an Ang2 targeting peptide to the anti-TNFα antibody adalimumab.
