Overview

Adalloce is a **biosimilar of adalimumab** developed by Samsung Bioepis and marketed by Yuhan in Korea for the treatment of various autoimmune diseases. It is a high-concentration, citrate-free formulation designed for improved patient comfort and convenience, available as both a prefilled syringe and an auto-injector pen (40 mg/0.4 mL). The drug is indicated for adults with rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, axial spondyloarthritis, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, psoriasis, Behçet's enteritis, purulent pyoderma, and nephritis, as well as pediatric patients with Crohn’s disease, idiopathic arthritis, and plate dryness. Adalloce is a **tumor necrosis factor (TNF) inhibitor**, targeting the pro-inflammatory cytokine TNF-α, thereby suppressing inflammatory processes central to these diseases. It was first approved in Korea in 2017 and represents the first adalimumab biosimilar launched in the Korean market. In Europe, a similar formulation is sold as Imraldi, and in the US as Hadlima, referencing AbbVie’s originator product Humira[1][2][3][6][10].
