Adamastat is a novel ADAM15-specific sulfonamide inhibitor designed to target A disintegrin and metalloproteinase domain-containing protein 15 (ADAM15). ADAM15 is a metalloproteinase that plays a role in tumor progression by shedding membrane-bound growth factors and cleaving cell adhesion molecules. Adamastat has demonstrated bioactivity, significantly reducing the viability of bladder cancer cells in vitro and inhibiting tumor growth in human bladder cancer xenografts, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic agent for advanced bladder cancer.
