adamgammadex

Adamgammadex is a newly developed modified γ-cyclodextrin derivative designed to reverse neuromuscular block induced by aminosteroidal neuromuscular blocking agents like rocuronium and vecuronium. It functions by forming a stable, inactive inclusion complex with these agents, thereby encapsulating them and preventing their interaction with the neuromuscular junction. Clinical trials have demonstrated its efficacy and safety, showing non-inferiority to sugammadex, with some indications of a potentially lower incidence of adverse drug reactions such as allergic responses and recurarization. It is being developed by Hangzhou Adamerck Pharmlabs Inc. as a potential alternative to existing reversal agents.
