Overview

AdaLap C Gel is a topical combination therapy developed and marketed by Lapillus Pharmaceutical for the treatment of acne vulgaris. The formulation contains two active ingredients: adapalene (0.1%) and clindamycin phosphate (1.0%). Adapalene is a third-generation topical retinoid that modulates cellular differentiation, keratinization, and inflammatory processes by binding to specific retinoic acid nuclear receptors (RAR-beta and RAR-gamma), thereby reducing comedone formation. Clindamycin is a lincosamide antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, providing antimicrobial activity against *Cutibacterium acnes* and exerting anti-inflammatory effects. The product is positioned as a marketed generic/branded OTC dermatology treatment.
