ADB-056

ADB-056 is a preclinical-stage peptide therapeutic developed by AdaptBio Therapeutics. It is a covalent inhibitor of Programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1), designed using the company's proprietary ADAPTin platform. Unlike traditional monoclonal antibodies that bind reversibly to PD-1, ADB-056 forms a covalent bond, leading to irreversible inhibition of the checkpoint receptor. This mechanism is intended to provide more sustained blockade of the PD-1/PD-L1 pathway, thereby enhancing the immune system's ability to detect and destroy tumor cells. ADB-056 is currently being evaluated for the treatment of solid tumors, specifically non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), and triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC).
