Overview

AdCLD-CoV19 is a replication-deficient adenoviral vector vaccine developed by the South Korean biotechnology company Cellid for the prevention of COVID-19. The vaccine utilizes Cellid's proprietary AdCLD platform, which employs a human adenovirus vector to deliver the genetic code for the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein into host cells, thereby stimulating both antibody production and T-cell responses. Clinical development has included the original strain candidate and a variant-specific version, AdCLD-CoV19-1 OMI, targeting the Omicron variant. It has been investigated in Phase 1 and Phase 2 clinical trials as a single-dose or two-dose regimen and as a booster.
