Overview

AdCLD-CoV19-1 OMI is a non-replicating recombinant adenoviral vector vaccine developed for the prevention of COVID-19, specifically targeting the Omicron variant. It utilizes an adenovirus type 5/35 (Ad5/35) platform to deliver the gene encoding the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2, particularly from Omicron subvariants such as BA.1. The vaccine is administered intramuscularly and is being evaluated as a booster in healthy adults. Its mechanism involves inducing an immune response against the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein to confer protection against COVID-19 infection[4][5][8]. The developer and manufacturer is Cellid, a South Korean biotechnology company[4][5][8]. As of April 2025, it is in Phase 3 clinical trials in multiple countries including Korea and the Philippines for use as a preventive booster vaccine against COVID-19[4][5][8].
