Overview

ADCTA (Autologous Dendritic Cell/Tumor Antigen) vaccine is an individualized, autologous dendritic cell-based immunotherapy developed by Safe Save Medical Cell Sciences & Technology. The vaccine is produced by co-culturing a patient's own dendritic cells with irradiated autologous tumor cells or pulsing them with tumor lysates and specific peptides. This process aims to prime the dendritic cells to present a broad array of tumor-associated antigens, such as WT-1, HER2, MAGE-A3, MAGE-A1, and gp100, to the immune system. Upon re-administration, the vaccine elicits antigen-specific CD4+ and CD8+ cytotoxic T cell responses and induces the secretion of interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) to target and eliminate cancer cells. It is primarily investigated as an adjuvant therapy for malignant gliomas, including recurrent glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), often in combination with standard chemoradiotherapy.
