Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Adebrelimab + apatinib + chemotherapy is a combination therapeutic regimen being investigated for the treatment of biliary tract cancers, specifically intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC). The regimen consists of adebrelimab, a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting programmed cell death 1 ligand 1 (PD-L1); apatinib (also known as rivoceranib), a small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor highly selective for vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2); and a chemotherapy backbone such as GEMOX (gemcitabine and oxaliplatin) or gemcitabine and cisplatin. This combination aims to leverage the synergistic effects of immune checkpoint inhibition, anti-angiogenesis, and cytotoxic chemotherapy. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials sponsored by Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University as both a neoadjuvant/adjuvant (perioperative) treatment for resectable ICC and as a first-line treatment for unresectable ICC.
