Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This combination therapy consists of adebrelimab, a PD-L1 inhibitor; apatinib, a VEGFR2 tyrosine kinase inhibitor; and a liposomal formulation of irinotecan, a topoisomerase I inhibitor. It is currently being evaluated in a Phase Ib/II clinical trial (sponsored by Xianglin Yuan) as a second-line treatment for patients with advanced gastric cancer, including those who have previously progressed on immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy. The regimen is designed to leverage the anti-angiogenic effects of apatinib to potentially improve drug delivery and modulate the tumor microenvironment, the cytotoxic activity of liposomal irinotecan to induce tumor cell death, and the immunomodulatory action of adebrelimab to restore the anti-tumor immune response.
