Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination therapy consisting of adebrelimab (an anti-PD-L1 monoclonal antibody), apatinib (a small molecule VEGFR-2 inhibitor), and paclitaxel albumin-bound (a nanoparticle albumin-bound formulation of paclitaxel). Paclitaxel albumin-bound (nab-paclitaxel) is a 130-nm particle formulation that binds paclitaxel to albumin, eliminating the need for solvents like Cremophor EL. This formulation allows for higher doses without increased side effects and improves drug delivery to tumors through albumin-mediated transport mechanisms. Paclitaxel works by preventing the normal breakdown of microtubules during cell division, ultimately causing cancer cell death.
