Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This combination therapy consists of adebrelimab, cetuximab, and chemotherapy (either FOLFOX6 or FOLFIRI). Adebrelimab is a humanized IgG4 monoclonal antibody that targets programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1), developed by Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceuticals. Cetuximab is a chimeric monoclonal antibody targeting the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). The combination is being investigated by The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University in a Phase 2 clinical trial for the treatment of patients with RAS/BRAF wild-type unresectable liver metastases from colorectal cancer. The rationale for this regimen is to combine immune checkpoint inhibition with EGFR-targeted therapy and cytotoxic chemotherapy to improve conversion rates to resectability and overall survival in this specific molecular subset of colorectal cancer patients.
