Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Adebrelimab + docetaxel + cisplatin is a combination chemo-immunotherapy regimen being investigated for the neoadjuvant treatment of locally advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (LA-HNSCC). Adebrelimab is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1), preventing its interaction with PD-1 and B7.1 receptors to restore anti-tumor T-cell activity. The TP regimen consists of docetaxel, a microtubule inhibitor that promotes tubulin assembly and inhibits depolymerization, and cisplatin, a platinum-based agent that forms DNA cross-links to inhibit DNA synthesis. This combination aims to leverage the cytotoxic effects of chemotherapy with the immune-potentiating effects of checkpoint inhibition to improve pathological response rates before surgery or radiotherapy.
