Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AG-Jin Xu-pancreatic cancer refers to a combination therapy regimen consisting of the PD-L1 inhibitor adebrelimab and the chemotherapy doublet AG (nab-paclitaxel and gemcitabine). This regimen is being investigated in a Phase II clinical trial led by Jin Xu at Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center for the treatment of unresectable locally advanced or metastatic pancreatic cancer. Adebrelimab is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets Programmed Cell Death Ligand 1 (PD-L1), preventing its binding to PD-1 and B7.1 to enhance the immune response against tumor cells. Nab-paclitaxel is an albumin-bound formulation of paclitaxel that promotes microtubule assembly and stability, leading to cell cycle arrest, while gemcitabine is a nucleoside analog that inhibits DNA synthesis. The combination aims to leverage the synergistic effects of chemotherapy-induced immunogenic cell death and immune checkpoint inhibition.
