Adegrelimab is a humanized monoclonal antibody of the IgG1-kappa isotype that targets Delta-like ligand 3 (DLL3). DLL3 is a member of the Notch family of ligands and is significantly overexpressed on the cell surface of small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and various neuroendocrine carcinomas, while remaining largely absent in normal adult tissues. Developed by Suzhou Sundia Biotech, adegrelimab (also known as SD-001) is being investigated for its potential to treat advanced solid tumors, particularly SCLC. By binding to DLL3, the antibody aims to disrupt Notch signaling or utilize immune effector functions to eliminate malignant cells. DLL3 has emerged as a promising therapeutic target in SCLC, where treatment options for recurrent or refractory disease remain limited.
