Overview

ADEL-102 is an RNA aptamer drug candidate developed by Aptadel Therapeutics. It is designed as a modulator of the Ephrin type-A receptor 2 (EphA2), a receptor tyrosine kinase implicated in tumor growth, metastasis, and poor prognosis in various cancers. The primary indication for ADEL-102 is rhabdomyosarcoma, a pediatric cancer. The drug leverages Aptadel’s RNA-based platform to achieve targeted delivery to tumor cells with improved safety and specificity compared to traditional therapies. Preclinical studies suggest that the aptamer inhibits metastatic potential and reduces tumor progression in animal models of rhabdomyosarcoma and other cancers[1][2][7].
