Overview

ADEL-401 is a preclinical-stage therapeutic candidate developed by Aptadel Therapeutics. It utilizes a proprietary aptamer-nanoparticle (NP) platform designed to target the Ephrin type-A receptor 2 (EphA2), a protein frequently overexpressed in various solid tumors and associated with poor prognosis, tumor progression, and metastasis. The drug consists of nanoparticles functionalized with EphA2-targeting aptamers, which serve as precision guidance molecules to facilitate the selective delivery of therapeutic payloads to cancer cells while minimizing off-target effects on healthy tissue. This approach aims to enhance the therapeutic index of treatments for solid tumors by leveraging the high specificity and low immunogenicity of aptamers combined with the delivery capabilities of nanoparticle technology.
