Overview

ADELANTE SQY44 is a tricyclo-DNA (tcDNA) antisense oligonucleotide designed to treat Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). Developed by Sqy Therapeutics, the candidate is engineered to induce exon 44 skipping in the DMD pre-mRNA. By skipping exon 44, the therapy aims to restore the translational reading frame of the dystrophin gene, allowing for the production of an internally truncated but functional dystrophin protein to slow or prevent muscle degeneration.
