Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Rinidrol is an intranasal spray developed by Epitech for the management of pediatric nasal and respiratory conditions, including inflammation and hyper-reactivity of the nasal mucosa. It is a combination product containing **adelmidrol**, a synthetic ALIAmide (Autacoid Local Injury Antagonism) analogue of palmitoylethanolamide, and **hyaluronic acid**. Adelmidrol acts by modulating mast cell degranulation and non-neuronal immune cell activity, thereby reducing local inflammatory responses. Hyaluronic acid provides a protective and hydrating barrier on the nasal mucosa, facilitating tissue repair and improving mucociliary clearance. The product is primarily marketed for pediatric use to treat conditions such as allergic rhinitis and respiratory tract inflammation.
