ADEP2

ADEP2 is a synthetic acyl-depsipeptide antibiotic that functions as a high-affinity **inhibitor of bacterial ClpP proteases**, specifically **Clp2 protease** in *Mycobacterium tuberculosis* and Gram-positive bacteria. ADEP2 acts by binding to and dysregulating the ClpP protease complex, leading to uncontrolled protein degradation and bacterial cell death. It has shown potent *in vitro* and *in vivo* antibacterial activity, particularly against Gram-positive bacteria such as staphylococci and streptococci.
