Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Adex Gel is a topical emollient gel formulated with 4% nicotinamide (niacinamide) and glycerol, developed by Dermal Laboratories. It is indicated for the treatment and management of dry skin conditions prone to inflammation, including atopic eczema, contact dermatitis, and psoriasis. The formulation provides a dual action: the emollient base (containing glycerol, isopropyl myristate, and liquid paraffin) restores the skin's natural barrier through humectant and occlusive properties, while the nicotinamide provides an ancillary anti-inflammatory effect to reduce redness and irritation. Adex Gel is often utilized as a steroid-sparing treatment option for patients with mild-to-moderate inflammatory skin conditions and is suitable for use in both adults and children.
